Methodology

Ventilation and odor control used:
Not required (good natural ventilation).
Rehab method used:
Danby Panel Lok IIIE (spirally wound) with full annulus grouting with cementitious grout with minimum compressive strength of 6000 psi.
Cleaning method used (if required) and who cleaned the line:
High pressure (3,000 - 10,000 psi) water blasting performed by the Danby contractor (L. J. Keefe Inc./Chicago).
Method of flow bypass or diversion, if used:
Flows 100% diverted during work day to second barrel while lining was underway in first barrel.

Hurdles

Problems encountered during construction:
Some problems with QC of grout supplier resulting in variations in grout mix properties. Better vendor QC solved problem.
Problems encountered after construction:
None
